Inclusion in the ESG Indices
FTSE4Good Index
Canon MJ has been included in the FTSE4Good Index. FTSE4Good Index is an ESG index developed by FTSE Russell, wholly owned by the London Stock Exchange, which selects corporations satisfying its standards for performance in ESG practices.
This index has been used by investors making investments focusing on the social responsibilities and business continuity of corporations as one of the key criteria in making their investment decisions.
FTSE Blossom Japan Index
Canon MJ has been included in the FTSE Blossom Japan Index. The FTSE Blossom Japan Index, developed by FTSE Russell, is an index designed to measure the performance of Japanese companies demonstrating good ESG practices for unbiased evaluation across different industries. The FTSE Blossom Japan Index includes companies meeting diverse standards with respect to ESG practices.
FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index
Canon MJ has been included in the FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index. FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is an ESG index developed by FTSE Russell, wholly owned by the London Stock Exchange. This index is designed to measure the performance of Japanese companies demonstrating good ESG practices for unbiased evaluation across different industry sectors. Additionally, in order to promote a shift to low-carbon economy, from the companies whose greenhouse gas emissions are high, only the companies whose actions of the improvement were evaluated by TPI (Transition Pathway Initiative) management quality score were included in this index.
MSCI Nihonkabu ESG Select Leaders Index
Canon MJ has been included in the MSCI NIHONKABU ESG Select Leaders Index. This is an index developed by MSCI INC., a global index complier. This index consists of excellent companies demonstrating good ESG practices from the constituents of mother index "MSCI Japan IMI". The Index construction has a target coverage of 50% by number of securities in each Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS®) sector of the Parent Index.

Canon MJ has been included in the MSCI Japan Empowering Women (WIN) Select Index. This is an index developed by MSCI INC., a global index compiler. This index consists of companies with excellent gender diversity in from the top 700 stocks by market capitalization (MSCI Japan IMI Top 700 Index).

S&P/JPX Carbon Efficient Index
Canon MJ has been included in the S&P/JPX CARBON EFFICIENT INDEX. The universe of this index is "TOPIX", a representative stock index showing the trend of the Japanese market. After the disclosure situation of the environmental information and a standard of the carbon effectiveness of the constituents is examined, individual weight is decided. This index aims to promote the environmental initiatives and information disclosure of the whole market and activate the stock market by adapting a rule to raise the weights of the companies who provide sufficient disclosure on environmental information or who have high carbon effectiveness.
SOMPO Sustainability Index
Canon MJ has been included in the Sompo Sustainability Index. This index is a unique active index developed by Sompo Asset Management Co., Ltd. and consists of approximately 300 constituents who are excellent in the ESG initiatives. The Sompo Sustainability Index is used in the SOMPO Sustainable Investment. The SOMPO Sustainable Investment is a socially responsible investment product geared towards pension funds/institutional investors.
Supported Initiatives
Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosure
The Canon MJ Group supports the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) established by the Financial Stability Board (FSB). We conduct information disclosures according to the recommendations. In accordance with the TCFD framework (governance, strategy, risk management, metrics and targets), we organize the impacts of climate change on our businesses from the viewpoints of risks and opportunities and disclose climate-related information.
Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) Forum
The Canon MJ Group takes part in the TNFD Forum, which supports activities of the TNFD with a view to advancing disclosures of information relating to natural capital and biodiversity. In the future, we will step up our information disclosures in line with the TNFD information disclosure framework.
The 30by30 Alliance for Biodiversity
The Canon MJ Group is participating in the 30by30 Alliance for Biodiversity. It is an alliance promoted by the Ministry of the Environment with the aim of preserving at least 30% of land and sea areas as healthy ecosystems by 2030. The Canon MJ Group operates the Furusato (Hometown) Project. It is implementing biodiversity conservation programs in various regions of Japan together with partner organizations that are seeking to register their sites as Nationally Certified Sustainably Managed Natural Sites, certified by the Ministry of the Environment.
External Recognitions and Awards
Certified KENKO Investment for Health Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program (White 500)
Nine Canon MJ Group companies, including Canon MJ, were selected under the 2025 Certified KENKO Investment for Health Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program. This program aims to highlight corporations that have been implementing outstanding health and productivity management. Certified KENKO Investment for Health Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Nippon Kenko Kaigi. It recognizes large enterprises, small and medium-sized enterprises and other corporations practicing outstanding health and productivity management on the basis of initiatives matched with local health issues and those for health improvement by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.
The Canon MJ Group was selected for its initiatives to improve health literacy of individual employees and for creating a health-oriented culture.
For information, Canon Marketing Japan Inc. was selected as a White 500 enterprise in the large enterprise category in the 2025 Certified KENKO Investment for Health Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program for the ninth consecutive year.
Platinum Kurumin
Canon MJ, Canon ITS and Canon S&S have acquired the Platinum Kurumin certification, and Canon CS and Qualysite Technologies have acquired the Kurumin certification. The Kurumin certification is awarded by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare to enterprises that have set and reached goals under their General Business Owner Action Plans, which are recognized as providing excellent childcare support under the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children. The Platinum Kurumin certification is a special certification granted to companies that, among those with Kurumin certification, have met even higher standards for childcare support.

Eruboshi
Canon MJ and Canon ITS have acquired two-star Eruboshi certification, and Qualysite Technologies has acquired three-star Eruboshi certification. Under the Eruboshi program, the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare grants certification to enterprises that have formulated and submitted their action plans pursuant to the Act on Promotion of Female Participation and Advancement in the Workplace and which are leaders in initiatives for female participation and advancement.

Good Career Company Awards
Canon MJ received the Grand Prize at the Good Career Company Awards 2024 conducted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
The Good Career Company Awards recognize companies that are taking exemplary steps to support their employees’ independent career development, and aims to spread and establish the importance of career development support by widely spreading their philosophy and the details of such efforts.

Nine Canon MJ Group companies including Canon MJ have been recognized as Sports Yell Companies by the Japan Sports Agency for its positive initiatives encouraging employees to participate in sports for the benefit of their health.
Excellent Company in Gomez ESG Site Ranking
Canon MJ was selected as an excellent company in the 2025 Gomez ESG Site Ranking. Operated by Broadband Security, Inc., Gomez ESG Site Ranking assesses the environmental, social and governance (ESG) websites of stock-listed companies subject to the survey by survey items in five categories: website usability, items common to all ESG factors, environmental items, social items, and governance items.
