Environmental Vision 2050/ 2030 Medium-Term Environmental Targets/ Environmental Policy
Language switcher
At the Canon Marketing Japan Group, we drive sustainability management under the Canon Group's Kyosei corporate philosophy. To build a sustainable society, we have formulated the Canon MJ Group Environmental Vision 2050 and the Canon MJ Group 2030 Medium-Term Environmental Targets as milestones toward the achievement of the Vision, and are implementing initiatives accordingly.
Regarding climate actions, recent years have seen an acceleration of movements around the world toward decarbonization, including the signing of the Paris Agreement. Initiatives towards the achievement of carbon neutrality have also made progress in Japan. Those initiatives include the government's declaration to achieve carbon neutrality and revise the CO2 reduction target. In association with resource recycling, plastics pose a global environmental issue. In the global community, businesses are required to manage their activities in consideration of the environment, including their actions to slow climate change, recycle resources and preserve biodiversity.
In view of these and other demands from society, we have established the Canon MJ Group Environmental Vision 2050, which we aim to achieve by 2050, and the Canon MJ Group 2030 Medium-Term Environmental Targets, which are milestones toward the achievement of the Vision, as described below.
